How to Apply

Applying to Uplift is simple, free, and takes only about five minutes. Follow these steps to submit your online application.

Step 1: Verify your child's eligibility.

Children must be at least 3½ or 4 years old (for Pre-K) or 5 years old (for Kinder) on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year. Your family must reside within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, the geographic boundary established in Uplift's charter.

Please note: Uplift has the right to deny admission to applicants with a documented history of a criminal offense, juvenile court adjudication, or serious discipline history, including expulsion or placement in an alternative education setting. It is the parent's responsibility to disclose this in the application and to report any offense occurring after the application date. Falsifications, misrepresentations, or omissions may disqualify the application or result in revoked admission.

Step 2: Create a SchoolMint account.

Visit uplifteducation.schoolmint.net/welcome to create your account with a valid email and password. Uplift communicates all admissions and waitlist information by email, so a registered email address is essential. If you don't have one, you can create a free Gmail account from any computer or smartphone. 

Step 3: Complete the online application.

The application asks only for basic information: parent or guardian names, contact information, the student's name, date of birth, and the grade they're applying for. A few tips: 

Use your child's legal name exactly as it appears on their birth certificate, and double-check the date of birth. You can apply to up to three Uplift schools on a single application and set a priority order. Submit one application per child, all under the same account, and use a valid email to receive your confirmation.

What happens next: All applications received between the October open date and the early-February lottery are entered into a random drawing for open seats. If your child is selected, you'll receive an email offer for a spot. You must accept within the timeframe noted in your offer email and complete enrollment online.
