How the PreK Lottery Works

The PreK lottery follows the same general guidelines as the main admissions lottery, with its own dates.

• Admission is decided by a name-blind lottery for applications submitted between mid-October and April 1.
• The PreK lottery is drawn on April 1 per state law.
• Families selected in the PreK lottery are notified shortly after the draw (around April 2).
• Being drawn means you'll have the opportunity to verify your family's PreK eligibility — it is not a final enrollment until eligibility is confirmed.
